Welcome

Hi! My name is George, and I’d like to help you with your pain.

During the twenty years I played sports, I learned the significance of proper conditioning and training which peaked my interest in alternative therapy for muscle recovery, including training and rehab.  This interest drove me to explore holistic approaches to natural therapies addressing muscle injuries, stress relief and muscle strengthening.  After pursuing outside interests for a period of time, I returned to my passion for alternative ways of healing and obtained my certification in massage therapy.

I strongly believe that this form of therapy is one of the most effective ways to address muscle fatigue, muscle injury, range of motion and performance while improving overall health and wellness.  I’ve experienced injury first hand and have been in practice for more than 10 years.   The continued positive feedback from my clients inspires me to research new and improved natural ways of healing and improving body functionality.

Today, I receive extreme gratification from applying my knowledge and experiences to the needs of my clients and find nothing more rewarding than making a difference in their lives.

Sports Rehabilitation

At Massotec, we understand athletes. That’s why we’ve designed an entire range of sport-specific rehabilitation and performance programs to help you – no matter your game, skill level or condition. Whether you’ve been injured or simply want to improve your performance!

Trigger Point Therapy

A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce referral pain in the neck. The neck, now acting as a satellite trigger point, may then cause pain in the head.

Active Release Technique ~ ART

Using these techniques, we treat muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves by breaking up scar tissue and releasing adhesions surrounding these structures.

Neuromuscular

Thorough examination and treatment of the body's soft tissues using regionally oriented protocols which have been time-tested, our hands-on techniques are built upon a science-based foundation and guided by clinical evidence.

Range Of Motion

Restoring range of motion is critical not only in the therapy process and to return to play, but to minimizing the risk for future injury. If a joint is unable to move properly, secondary to tightness, swelling, or weakness in the muscles, it is exposed to increased risk of re-injury.

Myofascial Release

This is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Lymphatic Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage using the Hivamat machine. This is a non-invasive Deep Oscillation therapy used to relieve pain, relax muscles, improve lymphatic circulation and promote mobility.

Testimonials

You are not forgotten! I want to update you. I am feeling great (yay!), have had no twinges in my neck/shoulder regions at all. I continue to do exercises at home and am conscious of my posture “most” of the time ? Your work truly makes a difference and I thank you! You got me to this point and I appreciate all the work, information and feedback. Believe me, I will call you/email if and when I have any lapse or need.

I originally began going to George for help with regaining the range of motion in my right leg which I had injured after a bicycle fall.

Now that I have regained almost full range of motion in that leg, he continues to be instrumentalin my being able to continue to work part-time by helping me with chronic pain management (chronic pain related to fibromyalgia and arthritis).

I also deeply appreciate his unquestionable integrity, superlative massage therapy skills and expertise, and his sense of humor!!
